I also worked on a few other projects, but I plan on sharing them when they’re finished, rather than sharing things like printables I made to then use in a project, single pieces of larger crochet projects, wax paper proofs of concept, etc. I just want to wait and share the finished products. Personal preference.

Also, not super happy with how this one turned out. Rushing too much, I think.

5/28 Another mini book, like yesterday’s. This one is for Kiki’s Delivery Service- a story about a teenage witch, who gets so stressed trying to make a living as a witch, she loses her magic and has to find it again.

I don’t know why, but every time I see a mini book or mini book tutorial on Pinterest or wherever, I really want some. Even though I have no idea what to do with them once I have them. So, here is a mini book, with 16 not functioning pages, and a cover made by SuperKaiju to look like the Miyazaki movies are penguin books. This one is for Spirited Away.

On one side, it’s a strawberry…

And on the other it’s a rotten tomato! >D

Today’s thing is another food related project that I’ve been meaning to do for a long time, but never got around to. Today, it was trying to make a frappe at home. It turned out pretty tasty, but was a bit much for my poor little blender. Don’t think I’ll be making a habit of this.

Think I did the showing off my drink pose right, or is it only valid if you’ve got a manicure? :p

Instead of having one of my usual breakfast foods, I thought it would be a perfect kick off to Thing-A-Day to try out a new-to-me recipe that I’ve been meaning to make for a while now. So, here it is: Nutella French Toast Roll Ups. They turned out well (in spite of the fact that I still haven’t learned the new stove top’s controls), but were very sweet and filling. I was only able to finish one.

Dug out a still unfinished project from a few TADs ago and worked on that for a bit. It’s a crochet blanket.

Continued progress on the recipe book. This is a sort of “convenience store dinners” page.

This is another project I’ve been wanting to work on for a while. I’m turning a Hobonichi into a custom recipe book, with my favorite recipes and lists/reminders of easy grocery store meals, so I will hopefully spend less time in restaurants in future. January is going to be cold drinks (other than soda and Kool-Aid).
